Logos: the logic used to support a claim (induction and deduction); can also be the facts and statistics used to help support the argument.
Ethos: the source's credibility, the speaker's/author's authority
Pathos: the emotional or motivational appeals; vivid language, emotional language and numerous sensory details.

Reciprocity- obligation to give when you receive
Scarcity- people want more of what there is less of
Consensus- people will look to the actions of others to determine their own
Authority- people will turn to experts to make their decisions
Liking-complimenting the recipient or convincing them to like the giver
Consistency- a commitment that can be made by the recipient

Conducting A Research Paper
- Research your topic so you have a great understanding
- Use both primary and secondary sources
- Primary Sources – original materials that have not been altered or distorted in any way
- Secondary Sources – any source about an event, period, or issue in history that was produced after that event, period or issue has
- Find credible sources
- To make sure the source is a credible source using the CAPOW acronym- Currency, Authority, Purpose, Objectivity, and Writing Style that will help a lot with finding a credible source
Cite all sources
- If it is not your information, you need to cite it
- Use correct format depending on the class the paper is for
- Not only textual information; images and music need to be cited as well
Rough draft
- Get all your ideas out on a sheet of paper make sure they all relate some how.
- Intro paragraph
- Body paragraph make at least five to six of them
- Last but not least you conclusion
Review and revise
- Pare up with some one and peer edit your rough draft
- Give positive feed back when you are tell your person what is wrong with there paper
- After the revision go back on the computer and fix any mistakes you made that your peer caught when they were revising your paper
- The best part is when your done
- After you are done with the touch ups print it out and make sure you sources are in MLA
